Situated in the heart of Alpharetta, Cafe Bora offers a delightful fusion of Korean-inspired dessert artistry and satisfying savory dishes, making it a must-visit destination for both sweet lovers and casual diners. This unique spot seamlessly blends the warmth of a coffee shop with the vibrancy of a dessert restaurant, specializing in everything from luscious bingsoo to comforting Japanese ramen.
For those seeking a fulfilling meal, Cafe Bora’s lunch specials are a standout. Their Mini Bento Boxes are thoughtfully crafted—whether you opt for the Spicy Pork, Chicken Katsu, Bulgogi, or Chicken Teriyaki version, each comes perfectly paired with steamed rice, fresh salad, and vegetable dumplings. The flavors are bold yet balanced, offering a taste experience that’s both hearty and fresh. If you prefer a lighter but equally satisfying choice, their CUPBAP rice bowls are colorful and well-composed, combining tender proteins like chicken teriyaki or shrimp with crunchy, garden-fresh vegetables and delicate imitation crab salad.
Ramen enthusiasts will appreciate the intricate layers of flavor in Cafe Bora’s Japanese ramen offerings. The Tonkotsu Ramen boasts a rich, creamy pork broth enriched with tender pork chashu, sweet corn, and a perfectly boiled egg, while the Vegetable Ramen caters beautifully to plant-based tastes with a medley of vibrant vegetables in miso broth. Each spoonful delivers a comforting warmth, enhanced by the subtle interplay of fresh toppings like green onions, nori, and bean sprouts.
However, what truly defines Cafe Bora is its exquisite dessert menu, celebrated by customers for mastering the art of sweetness without overwhelming the palate. The signature Purple Sweet Potato Bingsoo is a highlight—its creamy, finely shaved ice layered with natural sweet potato flavor that melts deliciously with every bite. Equally impressive is the Strawberry Tiramisu, which delights with its delicate custard cream and juicy strawberry nuances. Patrons frequently rave about the perfectly balanced sweetness and authentic flavors, complemented by inventive drinks such as the Black Milk Tea and Brown Sugar tea, which provide refreshing finishes to the dessert experience.
The ambiance at Cafe Bora is uplifting and inviting, characterized by its bright, clean interior that fosters both casual socializing and relaxed dining. Many appreciate the light-filled space and the thoughtful layout that comfortably accommodates small groups. While some shoppers note the signage can be a bit subtle—since Cafe Bora shares space inside Bang Bang Restaurant—once discovered, the welcoming vibe and consistently delicious offerings make it worth the little extra effort.
Whether you’re craving a cozy spot for a casual lunch with familiar Korean flavors or an innovative dessert destination that expertly balances creaminess and sweetness, Cafe Bora delivers with authenticity and charm. It’s a place where every ingredient seems meticulously chosen to create a memorable taste experience that leaves customers excited to come back for more.
The desserts had a top-class taste, really delicious. Perfect mix of creamy and sweet but still somehow not too over poweringly sweet where it becomes annoying. I don't know how they do it, but you can taste every single flavor in whatever you order. I had the purple sweet potato bingsoo, strawberry tiramisu, and black milk tea. The medium Bingsoo is big can actually share for 2 persons, I didn't know that, so I'm just letting you know. Give em a try. The ambiance is really nice, chill relaxing environment.
I am so glad I discovered this place! The ambiance is super cool, and I love that it's a split between the cafe and Katsu House! The inside is very bright and clean, and the menus were large and easy to see to order. I've previously had the Bang Bang Chicken sandwich from here and it was amazing, so I brought my partner here with me. He got the pork version of the sandwich, and I got a Brown Sugar Bingsoo dessert, as well as the Black Milk Tea. I love their unique boba here, with the brown sugar agar that is a refreshing take instead of the usual tapioca!!! Food was super fast and hot, and the desserts and drink were delicious and refreshing! Will definitely be coming back a lot :)
I love it!! I had the strawberry matcha and my boyfriend had the brown sugar drink and we got the strawberry bingsoo. All of it was so good and not too sugar and not enough sweet. I will say, the outside has changed in the past two years and it does not have its own sign, it is inside of the Bang Bang restaurant. Drove around twice then had to call to figure it all out. But everything tasted amazing and the day we went was very chill so it was a good study day.
They have excellent desert menu. I loved their sweet potato bingsoo! (If you’re not familiar with sweet potato flavor, the closest to it is taro.) My friend had the sweet potato tiramisu which was also good, but it was closer to a custard cream cake in a cup. They have enough seating places for group of 2 to 4.
it’s our first time tasting bingsoo and we dint like it much. It’s crushed ice with layers of strawberry jam and decorated with sliced strawberries on top. It’s an Indian ice gola per se! We may visit again to try tiramisu and be back here! Gave an extra star for cleanliness and vibe!
Great Ambience and Stellar Service. I recently visited a charming Korean coffee place for my “Sunday coffee adventures” and cafe bora was not disappointing. Cafe bora had an inviting ambience and a top-notch service. While the experience was undoubtedly delightful overall, the mocha, while good, a little bit sweeter than I had expected. My wife’s milk tea was just perfect! As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm and cozy atmosphere that made us instantly feel at ease. The tasteful decor, lighting, and relaxed seating arrangements created a pleasant environment to relax and enjoy my cup of coffee. Whether you're seeking a quiet spot to work or catching up with friends, this coffee place provides an ideal setting. Parking: There are enough parking spots in the front and back side.
Super cute spot for drinks and dessert! Tried the honey green milk tea with less sugar and ice, and I loved that the green tea flavor was strong and the drink was definitely not too sweet. They don't have regular boba pearls, but I added the brown sugar agar which felt more like a firm jelly - flavor was good, but I prefer the chewy tapioca so I probably will just get it without a topping next time. Will definitely want to come back to try the bingsoo!! The cafe is in a shared shop with a katsu booth right next to it, and there's ample seating both inside and outdoors.
What you need to know: Instagram wall! Delicious deserts and drinks, amazingly friendly service, masks! Ended up coming here with a friend on a spontaneous dessert run and was not disappointed. Drinks: I ended up with the strawberry milk tea and got an orange green tea to go. The strawberry milk tea was sweet without being overbearing, had the perfect balance of that strawberry flavor and extra bonus fruit at the bottom - very well made. The orange green tea was equally tart from the orange with the balance of the green tea. A very refreshing yet calming drink. Ambience: Such a cute spot with the totally insta-worthy wall, and a combined dinner/dessert concept with two restaurants melded to compliment all your cravings! Outdoor seating makes it a great date spot for good weather! Service: This was phenomenal! Hannah and the other ladies were very friendly and helpful providing excellent recommendations and making our order promptly. All in all, they've gained a huge new fan in me and I can't wait to go back!
